Today was a good day at Vassoy. I
started the DA-85 today.
The first time, I had full Choke and
Full throttle, 6 flips on the prop and then it chortled. I only had
to flip 3 more times and it started ;-)
NICE.
It runs great after the first start, I
only adjusted a little bit on the low needle, you see it was a bit too
rich. I'd like it to respond quickly from the start. Now it
runs great without any hesitation. It sounds a bit rich but
that's ok, it is brand new so that's allowed after my opinion.
I have also attached a picture of the
engine cowling with the DA filler nipple installed, and of course, a small
DA sticker, he he.
The small movie was filmed with my
cell phone and it's actually after the first start, only after some small
adjustments when running. Except for a maiden flight report, that's about
it for this one. Thanks for reading.
