Black high-temp RTV is used on the exhaust ports between the gasket surfaces. Be sure to allow this to cure at least 24 hours before starting your engine for a good seal.  The MTW 70mm drop flex headers are used in this model.  I had a set of MTW 110 front exit canisters on hand from another project and decided to modify the underside of the fuse to accept these instead of shelling more out for a set of rear exit MTW's. You can see where I've cut out the front section to allow the headers to rotate for the proper exit position.   I don't see where it makes any difference which set you use anyway.  In the final photo I've fitted both sets of headers and cans.

Hinging the rudder is next on my list.  This is the only control surface that has to be hinged on this model.  All the rest are done for you at the factory and that really saves a lot of building time.  Covering the surfaces that will be in the glued area with painters tape make clean up and removal of excess glue a snap.  Be sure to use a 1/8" spacer between the fin and the rudder while the epoxy glue cures to ensure that there will be no binding in this area.  Use Vaseline on the hinge knuckles to prevent epoxy from entering the hinges. We'll install the rudder servos in a "Push-Pull" method on this plane. No cabling to deal with this time.  4-40 ball links and push rods were used with CF tubing wrapped around the 4-40 rods for extra strength.  2ea. Hitec HS-5955TG servos were used for the rudder.

The fuel inlet and smoke fluid inlets are installed on the right side of the fuse.  Fuel and Smoke tanks have been installed just ahead of the wing tube.  Sure wish this model was able to have the fluids tank over the wing tube to that they wouldn't affect the CG as fluids were used.  The MPI ignition switch and charge jack for the smoke pump battery have been finished on the left side of the aircraft.  I like using Ernst charge jacks and have found them to be the easiest to install.
